The Root of Intuition
Grounded in a quiet, darker space, The Subterranean Studio is the place for honoring the messy middle of experimentation and learning, practicing the philosophy of let go and let flow.
In the Studio, expectations are left at the door and control is released, allowing the fluid acrylic paint to define its own boundaries and patterns. There is no pressure for a final state here; there is only the presence of the process. It mirrors the subterranean life of the foundress queen bee – the deep, dark, and essential work of building a foundation from the inside out.
Experimental Expressions
The Studio is the home of Experimental Expressions – a curated collection of abstract creations meant to evoke thought and encourage connection. (Note: Unlike the Master Specimen creations, these artworks are truly intuitive; they may be inspired by nature, but they are not structured based on science nor will they have accompanying protocols.)
A Note on the Process
Much like the biological specimens studied in the Lab, the works created in the Studio require their own space and time. Fluid acrylics must be allowed to settle and cure, undisturbed by the external environment.
This space is also currently in a state of solitary momentum. As new paintings are developed and cured, they will be shared within the Experimental Expressions Collection. May they help you slow down and spark your own curiosity and creativity.
